Digital education is lacking something. YouTube videos show us how to cook an egg, change a battery, or split columns in a spreadsheet. Course sites like SkillShare teach us how to draw cartoon superheroes, transplant shrubs, or even (supposedly) how to be awesome at marketing. But the quality of the insights, advice, and production, and the applicability to working artists vary—a lot! We can do better.
For those wanting a more directed experience, there are extended formats like a periodic CHF Art-Business Conference as well as limited, by-application Fellowships in the Art-Business Accelerator™ Program with application periods every couple of years.
Choose WHAT to learn. There are nine practice areas—from Sales Strategy (need help pricing your work?) to Marketing (want to amplify your brand story?) to Project Management (go beyond one-offs and do something big!). Go through a logical progression of business skills or jump around and get just what you need.

Instead of an isolated experience, learners receive training from a wide array of artists, business professionals, and art industry experts. And they connect around that learning in a digital community for comradery, feedback, and support.
The faculty is headed by Elizabeth Hulings, the daughter of acclaimed American master painter Clark Hulings. Directing education overall is Daniel DiGriz, a credentialed leader in education, instructional design, and technology. Leading each practice area is an experienced expert, like Carolyn Edlund (Sales Strategy) and Elaine Grogan Luttrull (Financial). All are committed to a quality and integrity of educational content that fulfills the needs of working artists.
Studio time takes a great deal of attention from working artists, and yet the solitary entrepreneur is a myth. No one is supposed to do it by themselves, and all of us are stronger in a bundle. That's why our interactive community exists to shore up the learning and support available in so many formats. Artists can post questions and insights, and find other artists with whom to connect as a professional network.
